Overview
LightBurn’s interface is highly customizable, allowing you to show, hide, dock, or move toolbars and windows to suit your workflow. This guide explains how to enable, disable, and rearrange UI elements, as well as reset the layout if needed.
Enabling and Disabling UI Elements
Using the Window Menu

Open the Window menu to view a list of available toolbars and windows.

Enabled elements have checkmarks next to their names; disabled ones do not.

Click any item to enable or disable it.
Example: Enable the Art Library window via the Window menu.
Using the Right-Click Context Menu

Right-click on any toolbar or the top bar of any window.

The context menu displays a list of windows and toolbars, similar to the Window menu.

Click an item to enable or disable it.
Toggle Side Panels

Go to the Window menu and click Toggle Side Panels.

This action hides all docked windows on the left and right of the Workspace.

Click Toggle Side Panels again to re-enable them.
Docking and Undocking UI Elements
Windows
-
Undocking a Window:
-
Click and drag the top bar of a window to undock it.

The window will float and can be positioned anywhere.

Docking a Window:
-
Drag the window over a dockable area (left, right, top, or bottom of the Workspace).

When the dockable area highlights (blue or light gray), release to dock the window.

Stacking Windows:
-
Dock windows vertically or tab them together in a shared space.

Default: Multiple windows are stacked and tabbed on the right side of the Workspace.

Note: Ensure the LightBurn window is maximized to provide enough space for docking additional windows.
Toolbars

Undocking a Toolbar:
-
Drag a toolbar from its dotted line to undock it.

The toolbar will float and can be moved freely.

Docking a Toolbar:
-
Dock toolbars above, below, to the left, or to the right of the Workspace.

Toolbars can stack or sit side-by-side in available spaces.

Adjusting Toolbar Size:

If a toolbar’s space is too small, it will collapse and display an arrow.

Drag the dotted line to resize or click the arrow to expand temporarily.

Reset to Default Layout

Go to Window → Reset to Default Layout to restore the original layout.

This reopens and re-docks all default windows and toolbars while closing non-default ones.

Hold Shift while launching LightBurn to reset the layout as well.
Note: Resetting the layout does not affect your preferences, devices, or libraries.
