# Exhaust Fan Setup for CO2 Lasers

Setting up the exhaust fan for your CO2 laser is crucial for maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This guide explains the steps to correctly install and connect the exhaust fan to your laser.

**Step-by-Step Instructions**

1. **Identify Exhaust Fan Ports**
   
     - The exhaust fan has two ports: one on the side in the middle of the fan (inlet) and the other on the front (outlet).
2. **Attach the Inlet Hose**
   
     - Start with the port opposite the motor (inlet). Grab one of the supplied flex hoses.
     - Place the hose clamp ring around the hose before attaching it to the inlet port of the fan.
     - Secure the hose on the inlet port by tightening the hose clamp.
3. **Connect to the Laser's Exhaust Port**
   
     - Take the other end of the same hose and attach it to the exhaust port located on the back of the laser, just above the chiller.
     - Work the flex hose over the port and tighten the hose clamp to secure it.
4. **Attach the Outlet Hose**
   
     - Grab the other supplied hose and attach it to the front port of the exhaust fan.
5. **Vent the Open Hose**
   
     - Ensure the open end of the hose is vented to the outside. Your exhaust setup is now complete and ready for use.
