This detailed guide will walk you through the installation process of Lightburn software for the Edge Fiber Laser on your PC. Please follow these step-by-step instructions to ensure a successful installation.
Step 1: Download Lightburn Software
- Open your browser and visit the official Lightburn website.
- Navigate to the download section.
- Choose the appropriate version for your operating system.
- Click on the download link to initiate the download process.
Step 2: Installing Lightburn
- Once the download is complete, proceed with the installation.
- The Lightburn installer will launch. Review the license agreement, select the 'I accept the agreement' option, and click 'Next.'
- Choose the destination folder where Lightburn will be installed or accept the default location and click 'Next.'
- Choose additional installation options if required (e.g., desktop shortcuts) and click 'Next.'
- Review the installation summary and click 'Install' to begin the installation process.
- Wait for the installation process to complete. This may take a few moments.
- When you arrive at the 'Complete the Lightburn Setup Wizard' window, be sure to click on the 'Install EasyCAD 2 driver used by Galvos' option, then click 'Finish.'

- Enter the license key provided by San Antonio Lasers in the provided field and click 'OK' to activate it.
Step 4: Connecting Your Laser
- The device's window will pop up. Click on the 'Find My Laser' button and click 'Next.'
- After a few moments of scanning for your laser, it should pop up in the box as 'JCZ Fiber.' Click 'Add Device.'
- If you were using EasyCAD and want to import your settings, click the 'Import' button on the next window. If not, just click 'Next' and continue.
- In the next window, you can name your laser if you'd like and edit the dimensions of the work area. The work area dimensions will depend on which lens you currently use.
- Click 'Next,' then click 'Finish.' Your laser should now be connected.
- Click 'OK' to close the window.
