Introduction
We're going to connect our laser and set it up. This is a straightforward process, but we'll walk through the steps to ensure everything is done correctly.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Connect the Power Cord
- Grab the power cord, which is about 10 feet long. Connect it to the back of the laser where it says 'Input 110 Volts.' The other end will connect to a standard house plug (110 volts).
Step 2: Connect to the Computer
- Locate the USB cord, which is a USB-A to USB-B cord. Connect the USB-B end (square plug with notches on top) to the USB port on the laser. Ensure it is seated all the way. The USB-A end connects to your laptop or desktop.
Step 3: Connect the Rotary (if applicable)
- The rotary cord has a barrel-style, four-pin connector. Connect it to the port labeled 'Rotary' on the back of the laser. Ensure it is properly seated.
Step 4: Power On the Laser
- Insert the key into the switch and turn on the laser. Your computer should automatically recognize the laser.
Conclusion
That's it for the initial setup. Your laser is now connected and ready for use. In the next video, we will cover the detailed setup and configuration for the Edge Fiber Laser.
