Customizing Your Workspace View and Toolbar Layout
The Window Menu in LightBurn allows you to control and customize your workspace view, manage windows and toolbars, and reset the layout to its default state. This menu ensures that your workspace remains organized and tailored to your workflow needs.
Key Features of the Window Menu
Enable or Disable Windows and Toolbars
Any currently enabled window or toolbar is marked with a checkmark.
- Click unchecked windows or toolbars to enable them.
- Click enabled items to disable them.

Window Menu Options
Reset to Default Layout
Restores the entire LightBurn window layout to its original format as it appeared when first installed.
Preview
Shortcut: Alt/Option + P
Simulates laser movements and operations before sending a project to the machine.
Zoom
Adjust the visual size of your design on the screen without affecting the actual dimensions in the laser output.
View Style
Modify the appearance of vector graphics in your workspace to identify design issues or visualize the final output.
Toggle Side Panels
Shortcut: F12
Quickly disable or enable all currently active windows with one toggle.

Art Library
Store artwork for quick access during design.
Arrange and Arrange (Long)
Position graphics relative to each other or the workspace.
Modifiers
Adjust, combine, and create graphic arrays.
Camera Control
Capture and display an overlay of your laser’s work area.
Console
View messages from your laser’s controller and send direct commands (GCode-based lasers only).
Cuts / Layers
Manage layers and operations in your design. Edit settings directly or access the Cut Settings Editor.
Color Palette
Access 29 different layer colors and two tool layers to assign to objects in your workspace.
Docking
Align objects to the workspace or other objects.
File List
View jobs and estimated run times for files on DSP controllers.
Laser
Configure laser settings, frame jobs, and set job positioning.
Material Library
Store and apply preset cut settings for different materials.
Main Toolbar
Access tools for saving files, importing artwork, adjusting views, and more.
Modes Toolbar
Open wizards and dialog windows for advanced laser processes.
Move
Jog your laser, set user origin, and manage machine coordinates.
Numeric Edits
Edit the scale, position, and rotation of selected objects.
Shape Properties
Edit properties of selected objects, based on their type.
Text Options
Adjust text attributes, such as font, size, spacing, and more.
